So my busy time of the year has just started. Last weekend was the opening weekend of the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival in Eminence, KY. It is the fair’s 10th season (opened in 2006) and my 9th season. The weekend opened with the typical rush of getting the wall set and still being in the setup mode even after we had customers coming in.
The three of us in Legacy Forge basically picked up where we left off last July. It was like we never stopped. We laughed, sold steel and entertained the masses. And there were masses, for this fair. It was one of the largest opening weekends in the history of the fair. The mood was high everywhere around the grounds, from the vendors to the actors to the acts. The patrons could feel it, and they reciprocated as well.
Here are some links to help get better acquainted with the fair, and directions in case you were looking to come out for a day, or weekend! You will notice, on their main site, they have information and links to get tickets to their other events that are held on the grounds throughout the year.
